Thanks for the tutorial, everything worked, but there's just one problem remaining:

How can you make a complete backup of your NC10 Hard drive, MBR and everything, so that in case you make a mistake with either OS in the future, you don't have to spend a very long time setting everything up again?

I just went through this tutorial, which took a very long time, then spent hours (no, DAYS) finding a suitable program (HDClone Professional) that would make an image of the whole disc. I then tried to install OSX 10.6.3 as per this link
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=197020&st=0

and it didn't work, and now I have to start over, FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!! Very Frustrated!

So, if you could include a method to make a reliable backup of the NC10 hard drive, a step-by-step procedure for idiots like myself, I would be very grateful. A way to upgrade to 10.6.2 (so to run iPhone SDK) would also be appreciated!

SUCCESS!!!!!

Normal GUID install with NBI, partitioned via diskutility 2 partitions 1 OSX, 1 FAT,. Upgrade to 10.6.2. Afterwards install of WIN7 and EasyBCD. Both boot fine.

Hi,

Chameleon Bootloader will be overwritten in my tutorial with the Win 7 one anyways. But my experience was: If you do the slightest alteration in the process, it won't work anymore.
So for example if you used another process to create the partitions than the one that you see in the tutorial, expect that it won't work.

Bye,
Dennis

Hello,

if an OSX installation via NBI already exists, and a free partition, is it still possible to install Windows7 in the free partition and use EasyBCD afterwards or will I destroy the Chameleon Bootloader and/or the GUID table and thus render my OSX installation unuseable?

Took AGES to get this to work - turns out my memory key (the one I used for OSX) was flakey. I ended up just for the hell of it, about to give up kinda thing, using a portable hard drive I had. It worked! Right now installing OSX onto the netbook. Then I have to suffer through a win 7 install. Still It'll be fun to show my mates my machine runs the best of both worlds. Time to use one of those apple stickers that came with my iphone :)

Hi again

Answering myself, actually...got the sleep to work (on battery only) by modifying Execute Disable Bit in BIOS to Enabled.

(found tip on MystiqueMac)

Thanks a lot for the tutorial. Worked flawlessly!
Only issues were/are:
-> Sleep doesn't work (as mentionned above)
-> I couldn't get Quicksilver to work (weird because it worked fine with Mysticus Leopard install) so used Spark instead
